For Wit-Gele Kruis Antwerp, we created an interactive and immersive Virtual Reality experience designed to strengthen clinical reasoning during life-saving interventions.

Part of the Learning labs initiative, this project aims to make essential healthcare skills accessible, engaging, and effective through innovative digital learning.

This experience was realized through co-creation, bringing together expertise from the worlds of healthcare and technology.

Learning to Think in Realistic, Stressful Contexts

Instead of traditional theory-based learning or standard e-learning modules, this VR experience uses a series of 360° video fragments that place users right in the middle of realistic medical scenarios.
Throughout the experience, participants answer multiple-choice questions that challenge their reasoning and decision-making. Each choice triggers tailored feedback and explanation, turning passive knowledge into active understanding. The fate of the patient is decided by the provided answers.

Flexible, Scalable, and Accessible

The solution was designed for deployment across multiple platforms:

VR headsets: for maximum immersion and engagement during training sessions
PC and mobile devices: for decentralized, easy access across the customer's network

This modular approach allows Wit-Gele Kruis to reach a wide and varied audience of learners, from students to experienced healthcare workers, without the need for a central training facility.
