Privacy policy

How, what and why?

Your personal data and privacy are extremely important to Soulmade. This policy is not merely a legal shield to comply with regulations such as the General Data Protection Regulation (hereinafter: GDPR), also known as the General Data Protection Regulation.[1]

No, this text tells our data story. It explains which personal data we process and how we carefully handle and protect it.

With this policy, we aim to fully inform you about our data practices so that you can make a thoughtful and informed decision about whether to use our services. We therefore assume that by using our services, you agree to the way your data is processed and to our policy.

Oh, one more thing. We have done our best to keep this policy as concise and clear as possible. After all, we believe obligations don’t have to be boring.

[1] Regulation of 27 April 2016 on the protection of natural persons with regard to the processing of personal data and on the free movement of such data.

2. Who helps us?

The GDPR also designates us as the data controller. This means, in short, that we decide which data is collected, how and by which means it is collected, and for what purpose.

Processors — a very telling GDPR term. Who helps us, under our responsibility, to process your personal data? Rest assured: all our processors have personally or generally agreed to comply with the GDPR and, therefore, with our policy. Below is a brief overview.

Webflow operates under the hood of our website.

In addition to these processors, we also use several plugins that may process data. Rest assured: just like our processors, we only use plugins that explicitly comply with the GDPR. These include: Google Analytics, Facebook Pixel

What data do we actually collect?

1. Categories of data

A heavy GDPR term for the “types of data” we need. A brief overview:

WEBSITE

  • Email address
  • Name
  • Telephone number
  • Location data
  • IP address

2. Why do we collect this data?

Of course, we do not do this without reason. The purpose of collecting your data is to provide you with the best possible experience on our website. What does that mean in practice?

  • We ensure that your experience on our website is as secure as possible. Therefore, we use data to monitor the website so everything runs smoothly and to prevent fraud or malicious intent.
  • We also like to keep you informed about our products and services. That’s why we occasionally send you an email — sometimes a promotion, sometimes just news. Some may call this direct marketing, but don’t worry! These emails always include a link allowing you to unsubscribe.
  • Google Analytics collects data for us so we can gain insights into the audience visiting our website. This is called statistical data collection. It includes IP address, visited pages, geographic location, and time of visit.
  • Facebook Pixel collects data for us to organize our marketing efforts effectively. This allows us to show the right message to the right people on Facebook without ever knowing your personal account. Pretty impressive! The fewer parties processing data, the lower the risk of data loss.

What can you do? What are your rights?

1. Right of access

Your data remains yours. You may at any time ask us for access to the data we have collected about you, including how, why, and for how long it has been processed. You will know exactly how your data is evaluated and used. Send your access request to info@soulmade.eu, and we will provide all relevant information within one month.

2. Right to rectification and erasure

You may always request correction or deletion of your data. This may be necessary, for example, if you move or change email address.
To request deletion or modification of your data, email info@soulmade.eu.

Some data cannot be deleted immediately, such as data we must retain due to legal obligations (e.g. accounting) or contractual obligations (e.g. delivering your order).

Naturally, any data processed unlawfully will be deleted as quickly as possible. All other requests will be handled without unreasonable delay.

3. Right to restriction of or objection to processing

You may request restriction of processing if:

  • you have requested deletion,
  • we are verifying the accuracy of the data,
  • the data was processed unlawfully, or
  • the data is needed for a legal claim.

Send your request to info@soulmade.eu, and we will restrict processing within one month.

If you object to the processing of your data, notify us via info@soulmade.eu, and we will stop processing as soon as possible (within one month), except where data must be retained due to legal or contractual obligations.

4. Right to data portability

You have the right to receive the data you provided to us in a structured, commonly used, and machine-readable format so that you can transfer it to another data controller.

5. Right to withdraw consent

You may withdraw your consent at any time. This only applies to data processed solely on the basis of your consent. Data processed due to legal or contractual obligations is excluded.

6. Complaints

Complaints regarding how we process your data should be reported to the Belgian Data Protection Authority:
